Job summary

Point Loma Nazarene University seeks an Admissions Counselor to drive enrollment for Accelerated Undergraduate programs in a hybrid work setting. The role involves campus and partner-site recruitment, presentations, and building strong ties with community college partners.

You will manage inquiries through admissions, coordinate events, and maintain rigorous records while meeting enrollment targets. A Bachelor’s degree and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in university enrollment, admissions, recruitment, student services, customer service, or sales preferred.
• Experience developing external partnerships, outreach, or managing a recruitment or sales territory preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accelerated Undergraduate recruitment and admissions including inquiry development, management, pre-admissions advising, transcript evaluations, applicant counseling, admissions decisions, and enrollment support.
• Proactively communicate with prospective students via in-person meetings, calls, Zoom, voicemail, texting, and email throughout the process.
• Maintain timely outreach to inquiries, applicants, accepted students, and other prospective students.
• Build relationships with prospective students, understand goals, identify enrollment barriers, and provide next steps.
• Evaluate applications for admission according to university criteria.
• Conduct transcript reviews and inform on transferability and requirements.
• Maintain accurate student records in the admissions CRM with status, communications, appointments and next steps.
• Meet or exceed enrollment, activity, and recruitment goals.
• Develop relationships with community college deans, faculty, transfer centers, counseling departments, and partners.
• Deliver engaging classroom presentations and information sessions to prospective students and partners.
• Plan and execute recruitment events and information sessions at partner campuses.
