Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking an RN or Endoscopy Technician to support the endoscopy department in a fast-paced setting. The role includes pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care, room setup, and equipment preparation.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, managing sedation under supervision, and ensuring stringent infection control and documentation standards are met. A BSN is preferred, with experience in endoscopy and disinfection practices valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or RN licensure as required by department.
• Experience in a procedural endoscopy area is preferred.
• Proficiency with high-level disinfection practices and instrument processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per the state's nurse practice act.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Assess patients and plan care for pre, intra, and post-procedure stages.
• Prepare rooms and endoscopes for patient use; assist during procedures.
• Document accurately in patient records and department systems.
• Troubleshoot GI equipment and assist physicians and staff as needed.
