Blue Cross NC seeks an Actuarial Analyst to support rating, pricing, valuation and forecasting. The role applies mathematics, statistics and business principles to provide actuarial support within a team of actuaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience preferred or related experience considered.
• Must have completed at least 3 exams towards ASA.
• Alternative: ASA or more exams toward ASA may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform actuarial research, experience studies and statistical analyses.
• Calculate premiums and reserves for new and existing plans.
• Support senior analysts or actuaries as needed.
• Retrieve and validate data for rate filings and models; analyze impacts.
