Job summary

Target is seeking an Enterprise Risk Critical Activation Lead to steer the enterprise’s response to critical events across reputation, cyber, infrastructure and security. You will coordinate with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to mobilize teams quickly and effectively.

This role requires 5+ years in crisis management, incident response or related fields, with strong communication and decision-making skills in high-stakes situations. Hybrid work from MN location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with proven crisis management experience.
• Experience developing crisis playbooks, escalation protocols or activation frameworks.
• Ability to build trust with senior leaders across diverse business functions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to critical escalations across the enterprise, including on-call coverage.
• Lead end-to-end activation response for reputation, cyber, infrastructure and security events.
• Serve as central coordination point across Security, Technology, Communications, Legal, HR and operations.
• Develop activation playbooks, escalation protocols and response frameworks.
• Navigate ambiguity and time pressure with sound judgment and direction.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to enable rapid mobilization.
• Facilitate real-time situational awareness and after-action reviews.
