Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant, Accounting Integration to drive the successful merging of newly acquired businesses into our accounting and reporting environment. You will partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and external advisors to establish repeatable, accurate processes and ensure SOX controls are integrated.

The role emphasizes U.S. GAAP technical accounting and operational accounting in a fast-paced setting, with a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site) at either Northbrook or

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex models, data analysis, and turning data into insights.
• Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and technical accounting documentation.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with coordination across stakeholders and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Connect acquired businesses to UL Solutions’ chart of accounts, ledgers, and management reporting.
• Create accounting memoranda and SOPs to standardize processes post-handoff.
• Support integration of acquired entities into accounting, reporting, control, and close.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries for acquisitions and integration activity.
• Own reconciliations for acquired entities and resolve close-disruption issues.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close for acquired entities.
