Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, IL, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage PO-based invoices and landowner payments from its downtown office. The role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager, with a hybrid schedule (in-office Mon-Thu, Fri remote if permitted).

The position emphasizes high-volume AP processing, vendor communication, and accurate financial data management, with opportunities to contribute to various team projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment.
• Purchase order to invoice payment process experience.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with vendors and employees.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel and Word knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier payments per contracts.
• Respond to payment inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Research and clear discrepancies with other business units.
• Collaborate with partners to resolve payment issues promptly.
• Handle AP mail and AP Portal daily for timely processing.
• Obtain proper approvals and supporting docs before payment.
• Maintain supplier records and related issues.
• Complete IRS TIN matching for land and non-land suppliers.
• Deposit checks and maintain supporting files.
• Print and distribute manual checks as needed.
• Participate in team projects as required.
