Job summary

Qcells USA seeks an Accounting & Tax Lead to drive tax compliance and general accounting for the EPC Finance team in Houston. The role partners with Tax and Accounting leaders to oversee indirect taxes, GL, and financial reporting in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities include preparing tax returns, reconciliation, audits support, and process improvements to enhance control environment in a rapidly growing EPC business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of combined accounting and/or tax experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and indirect tax concepts.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales/use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax returns.
• Support information reporting, including Forms 1099 and 1042.
• Assist with tax research, documentation, and tax position support.
• Support responses to tax notices, audits, and information requests.
• Post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and outside tax preparers.
