Job summary

The Iowa Department of Revenue’s Financial Services Division is seeking an Accounting Support Technician 2 to join the Alcohol Accounting/Finance team. You will support financial activity within operational systems and help ensure accurate processing of liquor-related revenues and licensing.

The role requires experience with financial data processing and systems such as IADV, Dynamics 365, GenTax, IMPACT, Workday, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of professional accounting principles, theories and terms.
• Ability to classify accounting transactions, maintain and reconcile accounts and prepare reports.
• Experience with government accounting, licensing and tax processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a key team member for financial activity in operational systems (IADV, Dynamics 365, GenTax/IMPACT).
• Communicate with customers and our distribution partner on discrepancies and process inventory adjustments.
• Process cash receipts and licensing revenue and tax reports.
• Provide support and adhere to internal procedures for financial transactions.
