The State of Iowa – Executive Branch is seeking a Revenue Service Agent 1 for the Alcohol & Tax Operations Division to join the Collections Bureau. This role focuses on helping taxpayers meet their obligations and securing payments on past-due accounts via phone outreach and online resources.

You will work in a call-center environment with standard hours (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) and may access tools like IMPACT, GovConnectIowa, and AWS to support collections and data management.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time work experience in tax, collections, accounting, or related fields.
• Or two years of education and/or experience with thirty semester hours equaling one year.
• Associate degree qualifies.

Responsabilités

• Assist customers by phone and online resources to meet tax obligations.
• Contact taxpayers by phone to secure payments on past-due accounts.
• Apply negotiation techniques to resolve accounts.
• Provide excellent call-center customer service.
• Support standard call-center hours Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
