Cook’s Direct, a leading supplier of food service equipment and supplies, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor in hybrid Woodridge, IL, to lead day-to-day AP/AR operations and supervise staff while remaining hands-on with accounting work.

You will oversee reconciliations, support month-end close, and assist the Controller with variance analyses, reporting, and compliance tasks, including 1099 preparation. This role offers growth, competitive benefits, and a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• 2+ years in a lead, supervisory, or training capacity.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day AP/AR operations and supervise staff.
• Oversee reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist Controller with variance analyses and special reporting requests.
• Review journal entries prepared by staff.
• Manage cash disbursements and daily/weekly cash reporting.
• Support compliance tasks such as 1099 preparation and audit support.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen workflow.
• Support Microsoft Dynamics Business Central-related tasks.
