Job summary

Northwest Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role serving Seattle and SeaTac, WA. The position supports daily accounting operations including accounts payable, cash receipts, invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end activities.

The role is temporary, full-time for approximately six months with a schedule of Monday through Friday. Wage range is $30–$34 per hour, and the work arrangement includes 3 days onsite and 2 days

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or 3 years of accounting experience.
• Ability to handle confidential information with accuracy under deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written/verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: process invoices, coding and routing for approval; support weekly payments and reimbursements; maintain organized records.
• Cash Receipts & Invoicing: process payments, deposit cash, prepare invoices and reconcile remittance information.
• General Accounting & Support: prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, maintain documentation, suggest process improvements and ensure accuracy.
