Job summary

Harrington Group, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a hybrid role in Duluth, GA. The position involves reviewing, verifying, and recording financial records including billing, AP, AR, payroll entry, and 401k payments.

You will support the Controller in budgeting and coordinate with project managers. The role requires a BS in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in the AEC sector.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• 5+ years in corporate accounting, preferably in AEC industry, including GL, AP, AR, payroll.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: process invoices, document approvals, post to ERP, reconcile, issue vendor payments.
• Accounts Receivable: generate and issue client invoices, process statements, follow up on balances, upload to client portals.
• Expense & Credit Card Management: review expenses, process reimbursements, manage AmEx accounts, reconcile ledgers and bank statements.
• Payroll & 401(k) Support: process bi-monthly payroll in PEO, enter time, handle 401(k) deferrals.
• System Support: onboard/offboard employees in ERP, set up timesheets.
• Other Administrative Support: maintain office operations in hybrid environment, in-office three days weekly, receive mail, ship materials, manage inventory.
