MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join a dynamic GOVCON accounting team in Rockville, MD.

The role focuses on day-to-day accounting duties, including invoicing, costpoint data entry, and labor vouchering with meticulous attention to detail. Ideal candidates have Associates in Accounting or 2 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Adobe Pro, Outlook, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Associates in Accounting or two years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operations of the Accounting Clerk function
• Receive payable invoices, review for accuracy, prepare and submit invoices for approval
• Manage the e-signature and approval system ensuring all payable invoices are approved and downloaded for system entry timely
• Enter project-based purchase orders, and non-PO invoice vouchers in Costpoint.
• Track prepaid travel expenses and travel advances in accordance with company travel policy.
• Enter subcontractor employee travel expenses and Other Direct Costs (ODCs) into Costpoint.
• Respond to client, vendor, and employee inquiries with exceptional customer service
• Diligently maintain the integrity of the electronic accounting archives
• Support the accounting team with account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned
