Econometrica, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant in Bethesda, MD, to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and project-based activities.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, AR/AP expertise, and strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands-on AR and AP experience.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
• Experience in management consulting, professional services, or government-contracting environment.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, formulas, reconciliations).
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close, and journaling.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage full Accounts Receivable cycle: invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, aging, collections.
• Perform Accounts Payable functions: invoice review, coding, routing, payments, vendor maintenance.
• Process accounting transactions and maintain records in Deltek Costpoint.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and monthly/year-end close schedules.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Assist with project accounting: labor, expense, revenue, billing, and cost analysis.
• Review financial information for completeness and compliance.
