Job summary

Carolina Professional Recruiting Group is partnering with a well-established distribution company in Charlotte to hire an Accountant who will support the monthly close, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance while working with senior leadership.

This hybrid role offers mentorship and opportunities to improve processes within a larger national-scale organization, with collaboration across departments and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years in general ledger, month-end close and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical ability to explain numbers to non‑accountants.
• Interest in process improvement and learning new systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Research accounting questions for management and analyze variances.
• Collaborate across departments on process improvements.
• Interpret GAAP for contracts and business activities.
• Partner on special projects supporting growth and improvements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reporting.
• Provide accurate financial information and insights to leadership.
