Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking an Accountant/Senior Accountant to support the Contracted Energy accounting. The role requires GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to prepare financial statements and analyses within a hybrid work setting in Richmond, VA.

Ideal candidates have 2–7 years of accounting experience; CPA is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required. Travel is up to 25% and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of US GAAP, practices and procedures.
• Excellent Excel skills with large spreadsheets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical thinker with good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accrual accounting and reconciliations for the segment.
• Maintain day-to-day general ledger and controls.
• Prepare financial reports and ad hoc analyses.
• Interact with internal customers regularly.
• Support year-end accounting activities.
