Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Up to six months of similar or related experience; training provided

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and assisting them throughout the store
• Review orders for the day and ensure an adequate food supply by following a production list
• Prepare, finish, replenish product, and pull from cooler/freezer for cooking
• Review the status and appearance of food for freshness and maintain quality standards
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change as applicable
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and safe
• Remove trash and wash dishes as necessary
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers
• Answer phone promptly and provide friendly service to customers
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and all guidelines
• Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up
