Hy-Vee in Minnesota is seeking a Hy-Chi Department Clerk. You will welcome customers, take orders at the Hy-Chi counter, and help maintain the department by ensuring food supply and freshness throughout shifts.

You will operate the department register, handle payments, and follow Hy-Vee hygiene and safety standards. Training is provided; prior experience is not required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience is not required; up to six months in similar role may be provided via training.
• Strong communication and math skills for handling orders and payments.
• Ability to greet customers, take orders, and follow department procedures.

Responsabilités

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and taking orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Review orders for the day and ensure adequate food supply by following production lists.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product; pull items from cooler/freezer as needed for cooking.
• Check product freshness and maintain quality standards throughout the shift.
• Run the department register, receive payment, and make change as applicable.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times.
