Job summary

Hy-Vee is looking for a friendly Hy-Chi Department Clerk in Kentucky who can deliver great customer service and help keep the department running smoothly. No extensive experience required—training is provided to get you up to speed.

You will take orders, prepare and replenish product, and maintain cleanliness and safety across shifts. This position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Up to six months of similar or related experience; we'll provide training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders at the Hy-Chi counter and assist customers throughout the store.
• Review daily orders and ensure adequate food supply is ready and available.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product; pull items from the cooler or freezer as needed.
• Maintain quality standards and check for freshness during the shift.
• Operate the department register, handle payment and provide change as applicable.
• Keep the workspace clean, sanitary, and safe at all times.
• Card in product, restock, and review invoices as needed.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines.
• Assist with other tasks or special projects as they arise.
