Hy-Vee’s Hy-Chi Department Clerk role is a fast-paced customer-facing position. You’ll take orders, prepare and replenish products, and keep the department clean and well-stocked while delivering friendly service across shifts.

We value training on the job, a positive attitude, and the ability to work accurately with basic math and cash handling. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior food service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products; ensure freshness and quality.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and follow sanitation standards.
• Operate the department register, process payments, and give change as needed.
• Review invoices and stock to ensure adequate product supply.
• Assist with other tasks and department needs as they arise.
