Job summary

Meta seeks a Software Engineer (HW/SW Co-Design) in Menlo Park, CA to drive the co-design of compute and storage architectures. You will collaborate with internal teams to analyze workloads, optimize performance, and push for new capabilities that improve efficiency across Meta's fleet.

You will identify hardware-software co-design opportunities, model platform bottlenecks, and contribute to roadmap definitions while engaging with external partners to align industry roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of hardware architecture including CPUs, memory subsystems, storage and GPUs.
• Ability to design benchmarks and analyze fleet workloads to guide platform improvements.
• Experience with C++, Python, and performance-oriented software development.

Responsibilities

• Identify platform bottlenecks and re-architect services to improve performance and resource efficiency.
• Develop representative benchmarks (C++/Python/Hack) to model fleet requirements and evaluate new platforms.
• Drive evidence-based workload analysis and contribute to roadmap and co-design opportunities.
