Job summary

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer to join the AI & Systems Co-Design team to shape the next generation of compute and storage architectures. You will collaborate with internal software and platform teams to analyze workloads, define roadmaps, and drive co-design activities for efficient systems powering Meta’s fleet.

You will publish work, contribute to open source, and influence external partners' roadmaps while working across a broad, cross-functional set of teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of experience with programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Rust, Java, PHP, Python.

Responsibilities

• Utilize understanding of hardware architecture to identify platform bottlenecks and re-architect services for performance.
• Develop benchmarks (C++/Rust/Python/Hack) to capture fleet requirements and drive workload analysis.
• Identify hardware/software co-design opportunities based on industry trends.
• Conduct pathfinding to quantify value propositions and drive roadmaps.
• Influence vendor roadmaps to align with Meta’s requirements.
• Collaborate with Product and Infrastructure Engineering to deliver hardware roadmaps into production.
