Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Alamo, Tennessee is seeking a Machinist to join its team to support the HVDC product line. The role involves machining 23-40 ft epoxy-based condenser body and reading blueprints.

You will write and edit CNC programs in G-code, set up and operate CNC lathes, and collaborate with engineering on tooling. Willingness to travel internationally for training 1–2 weeks if required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience writing programs using G code conversation and able to demonstrate proficiency.
• Have at least 3 years CNC lathe operation with demonstrated proficiency.
• Self-starter and works well without direct supervision
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred
• Strict adherence to safety protocols, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications
• Write, edit and optimize CNC programs using G-Code independently
• Setup and operate CNC lathes
• Select proper feeds and speeds for the operation
• Troubleshoot machine and program issues
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment
• Willingness to travel internationally for training for 1–2 weeks if required
