Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is looking for an experienced Machinist for their HVDC product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining epoxy-based condenser bodies, operating CNC lathes, and writing CNC programs using G-Code.

Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years’ experience in programming and 3 years in CNC lathe operation. The role also requires the ability to read blueprints and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience writing programs using G code conversation.
• At least 3 years CNC lathe operation with demonstrated proficiency.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and write/edit CNC programs independently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform machine offsets, tool changes and troubleshoot issues.
