Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking an experienced HVACR technician to provide routine installation, emergency repair, and preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across district facilities.

The role requires EPA certification, a TDLR license and at least three years of hands-on HVACR experience, with the ability to read blueprints and manage material lists. Frequent district-wide travel and safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TDLR registered, certified or contractor license required.
• EPA certification required.
• Asbestos removal certification preferred.
• Three years verifiable experience installing, repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining HVACR systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVACR systems of various capacities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Read blueprints and prepare material lists; perform field layouts.
• Supervise Trade Helper and report to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety practices and district policies and regulations.
• Travel district-wide as required; lift up to 50 pounds; work in varied conditions.
