Job summary

Textron Inc. is seeking an HVACR Technician for the 2nd shift in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing large-scale heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment within our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with utility equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and is capable of guiding other maintenance staff as needed. This is a full-time, second-shift position with ITAR compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as an Operating Engineer of Utility Equipment.
• One year installing and operating HVAC equipment (50HP+).

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, service and adjust compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, and cooling equipment.
• Repair utility equipment and electrical parts related to it.
• Connect and adjust controls, ducts, and pipes for proper operation.
• Direct and instruct other maintenance personnel as needed.

HVACR Tech - 2nd Shift

Job Number: 344927

Work Performed:

• Operates, maintains, services and properly adjusts all compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, refrigeration and heating units, ventilating equipment, cooling towers and water treating units.
• Makes all necessary repairs to this utility equipment (except air compressors) and makes mechanical repairs on any electrical parts related to such utility equipment.
• Connects and adjusts controls, control systems, ducts, and pipes necessary for the successful operation systems, ducts, and pipes necessary for the successful operation of such equipment.
• Performs same functions on all Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment used in any part of the plant facilities except production machinery.
• Uses maintenance machine tools and performs bench operations to service and repair utility equipment as required.
• May direct and instruct other maintenance personnel.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• All necessary tools and equipment and measuring instruments required to perform any of the duties required.

Experience & Other Requirements:

• Three (3) years’ experience as an Operating Engineer of Utility Equipment
• One (1) year of which must have been spent installing and operating heating and air conditioning equipment (single or multiple units of 50HP or more).
