Job summary

Textron HVACR Technician on the 2nd shift performs operation, maintenance, and repair of compressors, boilers, pumps, and related equipment to ensure reliable plant services. This role includes wiring and adjusting control systems, ducts, and piping for optimal operation.

Ideal candidates have three years as an Operating Engineer for utility equipment and at least one year operating HVAC equipment over 50HP. ITAR compliance and equal opportunity employment are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years’ experience as an Operating Engineer of Utility Equipment.
• One (1) year of which must have been spent installing and operating heating and air conditioning equipment (single or multiple units of 50HP or more).

• Operates, maintains, services and properly adjusts all compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, refrigeration and heating units, ventilating equipment, cooling towers and water treating units.
• Makes all necessary repairs to this utility equipment (except air compressors) and makes mechanical repairs on any electrical parts related to such utility equipment.
• Connects and adjusts controls, control systems, ducts, and pipes necessary for the successful operation of such equipment.
• Performs same functions on all Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment used in any part of the plant facilities except production machinery.
• Uses maintenance machine tools and performs bench operations to service and repair utility equipment as required.
• May direct and instruct other maintenance personnel.

• Performs same functions on all Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment used in any part of the plant facilities except production machinery.

• May direct and instruct other maintenance personnel.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• All necessary tools and equipment and measuring instruments required to perform any of the duties required.
