The position requires completing an HVACR apprenticeship with journey-level experience and EPA refrigerant recovery certification. Travel between campuses and possible evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level experience.
• EPA certification to recover refrigerant and recharge equipment is required at appointment and ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment and related systems across facilities.
• Inspect and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment; adjust controls and log readings.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, burners and electrical components; test system functions.
• Install new components to improve energy efficiency and maintain inventories per policy.
