Job summary

Manassas City Public Schools in Manassas, Virginia, seeks a Maintenance Technician II - HVACR to maintain and repair HVACR systems across the school system. Immediate starting date; 12-month, full-time position with pay grade 12 and hourly pay range $27.96–$49.90.

The role requires a high school diploma, a CFC license (universal preferred), HVACR credential or journeyman status, and at least three years of HVACR experience. Valid VA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must possess a CFC license, universal preferred.
• HVACR technical degree, journeyman mechanical card or certificate from accredited HVACR institution, Master HVACR License preferred
• Must possess a least three (3) years of experience in HVACR service and installation.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVACR systems and devices in working order throughout the school system.
• Install, repair equipment/systems and devices.
• Complete work orders, recording both time and material required.
• Respond to emergency duty assignments on both a daily and on-call basis.
• Train employees in the HVACR trade.
• Performs preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment, such as inspecting, cleaning, oiling, greasing, calibrating, and changing air filters and drive belts.
