Job summary

ConServ Building Services is seeking an experienced HVAC tradesperson to join our team. You will read drawings, estimate job pricing, lay out ductwork, and install sheet metal and duct components across North and South Carolina.

Responsibilities include coordinating with other trades, wiring control devices, and documenting daily progress. EPA certification, 4+ years in HVAC, and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience within the HVAC trade.
• Must have EPA certification.
• Refrigeration knowledge required.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Able to work independently.
• Must pass criminal background check and on-site drug test.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend drawings, scopes and equipment submittals.
• Estimate job pricing, takeoffs and material orders.
• Lay out duct work for install and coordination with other trades.
• Install sheet metal, fibrous board and flex duct and related hardware.
• Take measurements and draft duct fittings for ordering.
• Hang/exhibit exhaust fans, louvers, units and other mechanical equipment.
• Hang copper, PVC and piping hangers for refrigerant and CHW systems.
• Insulate ductwork and perform low voltage wiring for controls.
• Perform copper brazing, startup and troubleshooting when required.
• Document daily work progress via company tablet.

Note: This position requires to travel between North and South Carolina (company van and gas card is provided).

Position is MON to FRI only, no weekend work!

What you will be doing:

• Reading and comprehending drawings, scopes & equipment submittals
• Knowledgeable of local mechanical codes for estimating & inspections
• Estimates for job pricing, material takeoffs and ordering to complete the job
• Layout of duct work for install and coordination with other trades
• Installation of sheet metal, fibrous board and flex duct, dampers, and air devices
• Measuring & drawing up sheet metal duct fittings to be ordered
• Hanging/setting of exhaust fans, louvers, units & other mechanical equipment
• Hanging of copper, PVC & piping hangers for refrigerant, condensate & CHW piping
• Insulation of ductwork with exterior fiberglass wrap
• Low voltage control wiring for thermostats, dampers, heaters, and other control devices
• Copper brazing, equipment startup and troubleshooting a plus
• Daily communication of work completed through company tablet

What you need for this position:

• 4+ years of experience within the HVAC trade
• Must have EPA certification
• Refrigeration knowledge
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Able to work independently
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pass an on site drug test
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
