Director, HVAC Sales

Role and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for promoting the ABB HVACR LV Drive Products range to Data Centers, crypto mining, EV battery manufacturing, and chip manufacturing applications. It involves getting ABB listed in the Approved Vendor List of relevant end users, EPCs, and specifying engineers/consultants nationally. The role requires strategic planning to align market opportunities with ABB’s capabilities, prioritizing and developing tactical plans for execution.

The individual acts as a business consultant to senior managers, collaborating with sales, marketing, and engineering teams on product development tailored to industry requirements, and developing solutions for client-specific applications and market needs. The role aims to grow ABB's market share by strengthening relationships with existing and potential customers. It involves a hybrid work model and contributes to specific product groups or divisions within a region, engaging with main stakeholders accordingly.

Main Accountabilities
  1. Align strategies and business plans with overall division targets.
  2. Understand and communicate data center architecture and applications, relating them to ABB LV drive products.
  3. Develop and prioritize a potential business development pipeline of at least $100M for the drives business unit at HVAC Key Accounts.
  4. Understand industry decision-making processes and key decision-makers for product specifications and purchases.
  5. Identify decision-making power for motor and VFD
