Modine Manufacturing Company in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced welder to assemble and weld commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will read blueprints, set up parts, and work with MIG and TIG processes to meet print requirements.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for several hours, and a commitment to safety. The team collaborates with Lead Welders and Supervisors to achieve quality, on-time production, with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Stand for 2–3 hours.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Familiar with tools.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and weld commercial and industrial assemblies related to HVAC units and supporting equipment.
• Perform welding on carbon/structural steel using MIG (GMAW), aluminum using MIG spool gun, and thin gauge stainless using TIG (GTAW).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine part orientation, weld symbols, dimensions, and layout.
• Ensure precise fit-up and weld quality to meet print requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with Lead Welder or Supervisor to meet SOPs, schedules, and quality expectations.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area following all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality and perform adjustments or repairs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
