Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Custom Fabricator / Welder to build high-performance make-up air systems. You will read blueprints, assemble components, and ensure exact workmanship from start to finish.

You will operate cutting tools, weld with MIG, and adhere to safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, manual skills, and attention to detail in a hands-on setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical work aptitude with attention to detail.
• Able to read tape measures, perform basic math, and follow instructions.
• Comfort reading blueprints and technical drawings or willing to learn.
• Skilled in MIG welding and operating cutting tools.
• Experience with sheet metal bending and fabrication preferred.
• Physically able to stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in construction, assembly, or carpentry is a bonus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assemble make-up air equipment from blueprints and specs.
• Mount fans, motors, burners, and gas manifolds per spec.
• Operate forklifts and lift equipment to move components.
• Measure, cut, and insulate components to exact standards.
• Complete checklists and suggest quality improvements.
• Maintain high productivity and workmanship.
