Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a field service-like technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair and installation of mechanical HVAC systems. You will document work, advise customers on efficiency improvements and provide quotes for recommended solutions.

The role involves routine inspections, cleaning of components, and IAQ related tasks. Union affiliation and strong interpersonal skills are valued in this customer-facing position.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• 1+ years of mechanical experience is plus
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, servicing and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
• Complete project and service documentation and provide customers with solutions at the time of service.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Perform routine service and inspections on HVAC equipment, ducts, filters, coils and related components.
• Support indoor air quality work including ducts and drain pans.
