Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field HVAC service technician to perform mechanical equipment service and repair at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve HVAC issues while delivering high-quality service and recommendations.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (HVAC program preferred), familiarity with HVAC equipment, and a valid drivers license. Strong communication and the ability to work independently are essential to success in this position,

Qualifications

• Familiar with HVAC related applications and use of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical HVAC service and repair to address building inefficiencies and service-related items.

• Respond to basic service calls and keep customer informed of progress.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to support solutions and upsell opportunities.

What you will do

This is a mechanical HVAC service and repair position. We will equip you with the required tools to perform your job at the highest standard. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

How you will do it

Probationary Employees shall perform mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer. Troubleshoot, performs maintenance, and resolve equipment issues. Responds to basic calls for service. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

This is a Bargaining Unit Position

Pay Range: $20.35 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are providedthrough a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
