Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support North America’s fast‑growing HVAC business. This role focuses on residential and ducted systems, air cooled and water‑cooled chillers, AHUs or rooftop units.

We provide STA training with recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement. You’ll work with a team dedicated to safety and customer outcomes. You’ll deliver high‑level service, perform startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket support, and may travel to

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on commercial or residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair centrifugal, air cooled chillers and associated drives.
• Applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

• As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.

How will you do it

We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians who have experience with Residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units. We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement. We offer incentive programs and a #1 focus on employee safety. What we look for

Required

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, AFL-CIO.
• Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for startup, commissioning, trouble shooting and aftermarket services for this fast‑growing business.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on commercial or residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair centrifugal, air cooled chillers and associated drives.
• Travel maybe required 10% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
• Opportunity to invest in career development. You will enroll in training programs and JCI’s STA to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• You will work collaboratively with other local market mechanics.
• Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.Able to write and communicate to the customer problem, cause, and corrective actions.

• Self‑starter with a passion/desire to learn and apply on the job.

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Pay Range: $36.62 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided

through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary

range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional
