Job summary

GSM Services in Gastonia, NC, is seeking an HVAC Training & Development Manager to lead and grow our onsite HVAC training program. This role focuses on translating field knowledge into structured training while remaining connected to technical work.

You will build structured programs, deliver hands-on and classroom sessions, and shape the future GSM HVAC workforce through certifications, evaluations, and career paths.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of hands-on HVAC field experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, tools, diagnostics, and field practices.
• Ability to explain and demonstrate technical HVAC concepts.
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between GSM facilities and local jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage GSM's onsite HVAC training program.
• Develop and coordinate hands-on and classroom HVAC training.
• Teach technical topics including HVAC fundamentals, installation, service, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Identify skill gaps with GSM leaders and set training priorities.
• Coordinate internal experts, outside instructors, vendors, and certification providers.
• Prepare coworkers for HVAC certifications and technical assessments.
• Develop training and career pathways for entry-level to experienced staff.
• Coach and mentor coworkers as they develop skills.
• Manage training requirements, certifications, renewals, and records.
• Coordinate safety training and reinforce safe work practices.
