Job summary

HVAC Test Technician 1 position in Dayton, TN on 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6am-4:30PM). The role pays $22/hr and involves diagnosing refrigeration/electrical components and ensuring proper operation of HVAC and dehumidification systems.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience. Training in all areas of Test is provided; benefits after employment include PTO, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, 401k and potential pay increases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to use test equipment including meters and gauges.
• HVAC training or in-process is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components and proper operation.
• Familiar with HVAC and dehumidification systems.
• Knowledge of different refrigerant gases (R-134, R407C, R410A).
• Use industrial electrical knowledge to troubleshoot HVAC/environmental systems.
• Assist Test Technician II and train in all areas of Test.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

HVAC Test Technician 1

1st shift: Monday - Thursday (6am - 4:30PM)

Pay: $22/hr.

Description:

• Must be able to perform the following analytical duties in a reasonable and productive time frame.

Job Duties

• Demonstrate knowledge of refrigeration and electrical components, their use, and the proper operation of those components
• Must be familiar with HVAC and dehumidification systems
• Must have knowledge of different refrigerant gasses (R-134, R407C, R410A, etc...)
• Must have industrial electrical knowledge to trouble shoot HVAC or environmental control systems
• Must be willing to assist the Test Technician II; train in all areas of Test
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience prior to advancing to the next level
• Ability to use all appropriate test equipment including, but not limited to, meters, refrigeration gauges, etc
• Ability to use all safe practices when dealing with electricity and pressurized systems
• HVAC training/school required or in-process

Required Mathematical Skills

• Working knowledge of HVAC formulas used in sizing/selection of product and a complete understanding of psychometrics and the use of psychometric formulas
