Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking an HVAC Test Technician Intern to support development programs, conducts tests, calibrations, and repairs of electromechanical and electronic measuring systems. You will set up lab procedures, maintain safety policies, and document testing activities for conformance to standards.

The role offers hands-on laboratory experience at a leading HVAC company with growth opportunities and on-site work in Plymouth, MN. Prior HVAC exposure and safety training are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrolled in a Vocational or Technical Degree program.
• 0–2 years of HVAC experience.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and ISO 17025.
• Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
• Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to policies, procedures.
• Maintain EH&S safety knowledge and follow safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams.
• Obtain forklift, scissor lift, or refrigerant handling certifications.
• Create records of testing activities per lab procedures.
• Document test results and procedures for traceability.
