Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for repairing HVAC systems in an industrial setting. The technician must respond promptly to emergency calls and perform routine maintenance to ensure quick resolution of HVAC issues for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding of 5 to 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, CRAC units, pneumatic and DDC controls.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on 100-ton and smaller unitary DX equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect and test HVAC systems and components for issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend system lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and occupational health and safety regulations.

• Perform emergency repairs efficiently.
• Identify and diagnose maintenance problems.
• Detect hazardous components in HVAC systems.
• Handle air conditioning systems, perform routine cleaning, adjustments, and repairs.

• Document all maintenance and repairs performed, including costs.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and maintenance to clients.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of vocational training or apprenticeship.
• HVAC Certification.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification.
• Proficiency with manual and power tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of advanced air conditioning and heating principles.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays on short notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Technical knowledge relevant to HVAC work.
