Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for effectively and safely applying coatings and performing all related tasks involved in industrial coatings.

Responsibilities

• Apply coatings to structures, tanks, piping, and surfaces per specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain, repair, and clean painting equipment.
• Mix and thin coatings as per manufacturer instructions.
• Construct protective enclosures to prevent overspray.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and storing equipment and supplies.
• Perform work safely and address unsafe conditions immediately.
• Conduct onsite QA/QC, including documentation and employee evaluation.

Requirements

• Proven experience with multiple crafts involved in industrial painting and equipment handling.
• Proficiency in spraying techniques for even application.
• Knowledge of various coatings (Epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, vinylesters).
• Understanding of hazardous waste management.
• Strong safety and QA/QC skills.
