S.I. Goldman Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team in a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role.

The technician will perform start-up, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a broad range of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. We value strong technical skills, safety, and quality workmanship, and seek a dependable, safety-minded professional who can work independently or with project teams across various sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant HVAC experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical or vocational training preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical and refrigeration components.
• General knowledge of industrial chiller plants, electric motors, and pumps.
• General knowledge of 24V controls and BMS/BAS systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles and circuits.
• Ability to use a multimeter to measure voltage, current, and resistance.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve HVAC problems efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics.
• Valid driver's license; OSHA 10-Hour; EPA 608 Type II or Universal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up of HVAC systems and equipment per specs and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC issues.
• Work with compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, pumps, and other components.
• Test and calibrate HVAC systems for proper operation.
• Read blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Work with 24V controls and BMS/BAS systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and service performed.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Adhere to codes, standards, and company safety requirements.
