Job summary

The HVAC Maintenance Technician at Homeworks Energy is responsible for installing and maintaining HVAC systems, troubleshooting, calibrating equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency across customer homes in the North Shore area.

You will perform preventive maintenance, start-up, testing, and commissioning; diagnose issues with electrical and mechanical components; communicate with customers and document service activities.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 2+ years HVAC experience with a focus on start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and controls.
• Proficiency with reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and system start-up, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specs.
• Test HVAC systems for efficiency, identify issues, and calibrate equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components and commission systems.
• Explain operations and maintenance steps to customers and document service activities.
• Collaborate with installation teams and safety Compliance.
