Francis Howell School District is seeking a proactive HVAC Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and upgrade of HVAC systems on school facilities. The role includes identifying needs, installing equipment, and ensuring tools and materials are ready at the job site.

The position involves coordinating with supervisors and trades, participating in a 24-hour rotation, and maintaining safe operation of equipment. Experience in HVAC and a commitment to safety are valued.

Qualifications

• Operating equipment for HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Planning and managing projects.

Responsabilités

• Cleans Units: Clean air conditioning and heating units to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Coordinates Work: Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and other trades; participate in a 24-hour rotation.
• Diagnoses Issues: Identify causes of problems to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Fabricates Parts: Create equipment parts to meet specialty needs or replace unavailable parts.
• Informs Personnel: Update personnel on procedures and work order status for decision-making.
• Installs Equipment: Install heating and air conditioning systems to upgrade capabilities.
• Maintains Tools: Keep vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe condition.
• Monitors Contracts: Oversee contract work to ensure terms and standards.
• Monitors Systems: Evaluate HVAC systems to identify repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Participates in Training: Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned.
• Performs Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Documents Activities: Prepare written materials to document activities.
• Repairs Systems: Repair heating and air conditioning systems and components.
• Requests Supplies: Order equipment and supplies to maintain inventory.
• Responds to Emergencies: Address emergencies during or after hours.
• Transports Materials: Move tools and supplies to job sites.
