Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an Overnight HVAC Mechanic for the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC). The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across the facility.

The position works nights and weekends, with compensation at an hourly rate per the union agreement. You will monitor BAS and equipment performance, coordinate with external contractors, and support event operations with optimal environmental conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years in maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC systems, preferably in large venues.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, BAS, and related building systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC units, pumps, and chillers.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for service requests and outages.
• Ensure BAS controls maintain comfort, energy efficiency, and system performance.
