About the Role:
As a CBRE HVAC Mobile Engineer, you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at multiple facilities.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Start your day from home and dispatch to area retail locations. Company vehicle, phone, and gas card are provided for mobile positions. The region covered will be in the Providence, RI area.
What You’ll Do:
- Impact a range of customer, operation, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
- Conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Diagnose and solve equipment failures, determine the best course of action for modifications, and maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
- Perform repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, and complete maintenance and repair records as required.
- Operate company-issued vehicles responsibly during daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish complex tasks and solve non-routine problems.
- Coach colleagues and share your expertise on HVAC systems and related areas.
- Lead by example, demonstrating behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values, building consensus, and persuading others effectively.
- Ensure high-quality work and efficiency in task completion, both individually and within the team.
- Explain technical information clearly to team members and clients, ensuring understanding of complex details and solutions.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Willingness to consider new perspectives and apply innovative thinking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive approach to analyzing and solving mildly complex problems.
- Advanced math skills, capable of handling percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.
