Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE) seeks a Mid-Level HVAC Technician to support the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. You will assess HVAC and mechanical systems, update BUILDER SMS data, and advise on lifecycle decisions.

You’ll evaluate equipment condition, perform preventive maintenance planning, and coordinate with multiple engineers and facility stakeholders. Military facilities experience and CAC clearance are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification from an accredited US institution.
• Minimum of 5 years HVAC experience, including at least 3 years in military facilities.
• Experience maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, or assessing HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.
• Ability to evaluate equipment condition and provide technical input for maintenance/repair/replacement decisions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers, craftsmen, planners and facility stakeholders.
• Must pass Tier 1 background investigation and obtain CAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed condition assessments of HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment and update BUILDER SMS data.
• Validate HVAC and mechanical asset data used to support lifecycle planning and Mechanical Sub-AMP development.
• Align day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance with lifecycle strategies in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical analysis on failing mechanical assets and support repair-versus-replace decisions.
• Support development of preventive maintenance schedules for critical HVAC and mechanical assets.
• Collaborate with Civil Engineering flights and stakeholders to support coordinated oversight and execution of utility infrastructure requirements.
