Job summary

Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CT is seeking an experienced HVAC Instructor to teach hands-on HVAC Technology in a fully equipped facility and to deliver Lincoln Tech accredited curriculum through our Blended Learning Model. You will support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability through advising and mentoring.

Requirements include 3+ years HVAC experience, S1/S2 CT license, EPA 608 and OSHA 30 within 3 months, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC field experience.
• CT S1 or S2 license required.
• EPA 608 certification required within first 3 months.
• OSHA 30 certification required within first 3 months.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to students who are learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach and provide hands-on training in HVAC Technology in a fully equipped facility.
• Deliver Lincoln Tech accredited curriculum using Blended Learning Model.
• Advise and mentor students to promote growth, professionalism and accountability.
• Evaluate and communicate student progress fairly and consistently.
• Instruct on safety and regulatory compliance in HVAC operations.
• Complete Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT).
• Prepare students for successful careers in HVAC technology.

Key Responsibilities for HVAC Instructors

• Teach and provide hands-on training in HVAC Technology in our fully equipped facility
• Facilitate and effectively deliver Lincoln Tech accredited course curriculum using our Blended Learning Model
• Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability through advising and mentoring
• Evaluate and communicate progress with students fairly and consistently
• Teach students about the importance of safety and compliance
• Complete Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT) program
• Prepare students for a successful career in the field of HVAC Technology

Key Requirements for an HVAC Instructor:

• 3+ years of HVAC experience in the field
• S1 or S2 CT license
• The ability to explain what you know to someone who doesn't know it yet
• A genuine interest in seeing other people succeed
• 3+ years of HVAC Technician experience
• EPA 608 certification (required within first 3 months)
• OSHA 30 certification (required within first 3 months)
• Universal EPA 608 Refrigerant Recovery License
• High school diploma/GED
