ABM Industries is seeking an HVAC Technician III in San Diego to maintain, repair and install HVAC and refrigeration equipment, and related building systems. The role emphasizes safety, diagnostics and proactive maintenance for varied mechanical and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required with a minimum of 3 years.
• HVAC license valid in the work jurisdiction.
• EPA Universal certification credentials required.
• Valid driver’s license and HVAC trade certification needed.
• 1 year minimum as an HVAC Journeyman.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems.
• Use common HVAC tools such as multimeter, refrigerant gauges and charging charts daily.
• Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose faults.
• Keep logs and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training; perform warranty services.

The HVAC Technician III performs maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests.

Pay: 47.00 - 52.00

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license
• Must possess HVAC license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed
• Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials
• Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification
• Three (3) years of HVAC experience are required
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an HVAC Journeyman is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of HVAC experience is preferred

• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
• Assist with customer queries inquiries
• Complete other duties as assigned
