Job summary

ABM is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform maintenance, repairs and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, chilled water systems, boilers and related building systems. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, calibration, and on-site repairs to meet client expectations.

The position requires completing an HVAC Apprenticeship, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Prior sheet metal or refrigeration experience is preferred, with the ability to read blueprints for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required.
• Completed HVAC Apprenticeship is required.
• Sheet metal work or refrigeration experience is preferred.
• Blueprint reading skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems.
• Use common HVAC tools (e.g., multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools) in daily work.
• Install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Health and Safety Act.
• Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Assist with customer queries and inquiries.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Job description

The HVAC Technician performs maintenance, repairs and installation of assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in accordance with client expectations and requests.

Pay: $42.50/hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary basedon applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
